Q. Are Unwind Hunter Valley properties suitable for children?

 

A. We have a few properties that cater for adults only, however most of our properties are family friendly.

 

Q. Are pets allowed at Unwind Hunter Valley properties?

 

A. We have a strict no pet policy at most of our properties. Pets are however welcome at Araluen Cottage and Valley View Cottage.  Please contact us for further details.  A pet surcharge applies.

 

Q. Is smoking allowed?

 

A. No.  All of our properties are strictly non smoking.  Smoking is allowed in the outside areas only however we request that butts be disposed of thoughtfully.

 

Q. Are linen and towels provided?

 

A. Yes.  We supply professionally laundered linen and towels at all of our properties.  If you are staying at a property with a pool, we suggest you supply your own pool towels.

 

Q. Do your properties have BBQ facilities?

 

A. Yes, all of our properties have gas BBQs for your use.  Please ensure that BBQs are left clean following use to avoid an additional $50 cleaning fee.

 

Q.  Is there an iron and ironing board?

 

A. Yes.  As many of our guests visit the Hunter Valley for special occasions an iron and ironing board are standard at each property.

 

Q. Are all of your properties self-contained?

 

A. Yes.  You will be required to supply your own food and beverages when staying at our properties.  We do provide a few essential items for your stay, such as a selection of teas, coffee, sugar, S&P and olive oil.

 

Q. What time is check in?

 

A. Standard check in time is from 3pm.

 

Q. What time is check out?

 

A. Standard check out time is 11am on Sundays and most other days and 10am on Fridays.

 

Q. Can we arrive earlier or leave later?

 

A. Yes, with prior arrangement and based on availability we can offer a guaranteed midday check in or a late 3pm check out.  These services are charged at $75 each and can be confirmed 48 hours prior to your arrival.

 

Q.  How do we pick up keys for the property we are staying at?

 

A.  All Unwind Hunter Valley properties operate with a keybox or keypad entry system.  When your booking is fully confirmed and registered you will receive a unique code on the day of your arrival which will allow you access to the property during your booking dates.

 

Q. Can we arrive late?

 

A. Yes.  As we use a coded access system you can arrive anytime after 3pm.

 

Q. How do we make payment for our booking?

 

A. Unwind Hunter Valley will accept payment via Visa or Mastercard with a 1.8% credit card surcharge.  We can accept payment via direct bank deposit upon request.

 

Q.  Is a security deposit required to stay in an Unwind Hunter Valley property?

 

A. Yes, all of our properties require a security deposit be put in place prior to your check in.  The security deposit is processed to a nominated credit card as a pre-authorisation (temporary hold of funds for approximately 7 days).  Following inspection of the property after your stay, the funds will be automatically released back on to your available funds.  Please note:  You will be contacted by one of our staff members if there are damages, extra cleaning charges etc. prior to recoupment of any costs.

 

Q. Do you require a deposit to secure a booking?

 

A. Yes.  Standard deposit is 50% of the total accommodation tariff.  If you are booking for a large group and required extra time to make your deposit payment, we can accept a $300 holding deposit, which then allows an additional 14 days to finalise your deposit.  The final 50% of the tariff is due 14 days prior to your stay.

 

Q.  Can I stay for just one night?

 

A.  All of our properties have a 2 night weekend stay requirement and 3 nights on long weekends or over Christmas and New Year.  One night bookings may be available for last minute stays or midweek. Call our office to confirm.

 

Q.  Is there internet or WiFi available at your properties?

 

A. Some of our properties provide free internet or WiFi, however due to the location of some properties this service is not available.  Please ask one of our consultants at time of booking or check the facilities list for the property of your choice.

 

Q. Is parking available?

 

A. All of our properties have ample parking.  We do ask that you park in the designated areas or on gravel areas and not on the lawns.
